Double Book Launch: Clea Young & Bill Gaston

Please join us in celebrating the launch of new books by two acclaimed BC authors: WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD by Clea Young and TUNNEL ISLAND by Bill Gaston!

In Clea Young's arresting sophomore collection of stories, friendships fail, families stumble, and neighbours know each other's business. Clea Young’s stories have been included in numerous literary journals, three volumes of The Journey Prize Stories, and Best Canadian Stories 2025. She has twice been longlisted for the CBC Short Story Prize.

Highly original and empathetic, Tunnel Island features a cast of characters striving to understand and overcome their pasts through eleven stories that unfold over a decade. Bill Gaston is the award-winning author of several novels and short story collections. A master of storytelling, his work has been shortlisted for the Governor General's Award for Fiction, the Giller Prize, among many other awards.
